Hull & District Amateur Radio Society (HADARS) can trace its history back 100 years. The first evidence of a radio club existing in Hull comes from a petition presented to the Postmaster-General by the Amateur Radio Telegraphists of Great Britain (Wireless Society of London) in December 1921. This document was signed by representatives of around 64 groups including the President and Honorary Secretary of the Radio Society of Hull & District. Since then there have been various radio clubs based in Hull: the current club having been established in July 1952.
